Say @ a church function we send out a dish of mashed potatoes,etc. and it's not completely gone, but the people are finished and leave...can these leftover potatoes be combined with the ones in the kitchen (not yet served) until the next time we dish up a bowl to pass. Need to print it out to spread to those who think it's okay to do!

How do you know if someone sneezed or coughed on their portion of their foods before you combine it with the fresh 'almost' sterile food ? That's very unsanitary, always has been, always will be.
