I just want to know the health risks based upon cited, accurate, medical information. sorry it should say "...but drink water throughout the day" PS: I'm not doing it as a lose weight quick scheme.

don't do that. it is extremely unhealthy. that isn't the way to lose weight. you will become malnutritioned. Your body needs food in order to function properly.

I've read about fasting/starving yourself a lot, and what I've gathered is that your body will go into "starvation mode," where it tries to retain any fat that it can. Although you will lose weight, you will be unhealthy and malnourished, with horrible skin, nails, hair, pale of color, and completely lacking in energy. And when you do start eating again? Your body will keep anything you put into it. e.g. you will store what you eat as fat because the body is replenishing its supplies
