A question about health food options

A question about health food options?
For 3 years I've skipped lunch each day, which makes my day about 7 hours without eating anything from the moment I get up. Recently I've began to eat yogurt in the morning, but I still don't eat lunch. So I need some help. I need a food for lunch that will fill me up, is portable and does not require refrigeration or heating, is cheap and can be bought in bulk, and is healthy. Does anyone have any good ideas? I have to change my eating habits or I will severely hurt my metabolism.

Bring a sandwich. It can stay out for several hours and will be okay. Bring a tub of peanut butter, and a loaf of bread to work with a knife. Lunch for a week! You can even bring jelly, i don't think it needs to be kept in the fridge. You can also keep carrots, apples, grapes or many other fruits and vegetables at work, they are fine out of the fridge.

Granola bars, cereal, almonds, walnuts, etc

You could make a good "trail mix" of sorts. Include a variety of nuts, dried fruit and beef jerky. Fresh fruit is portable, and so are tortilla wraps (wrap some turkey in with some lettuce and mustard). String cheese will last you from the morning until lunch without refrigeration. Hopefully this helps. Kudos on changing your eating habits. You'll see a great change in energy!

If you were going to "severely hurt your metabolism", wouldn't it be done by now? If you're skipping lunch, then pick something. Sandwich, leftovers from last night, a salad in a Gladware bowl?

well, if you want to buy something in bulk, filling and give you nutrition: try "protein powder - whey protein " - they come in different flavour. you can add one scoop in about 250 ml of water or fruit juice. Just make sure you drink plenty of fluids as well.

First of all, you should be eating a big breakfast. If you start your day with a good (somewhat large), healthy meal, you will be much better off for the rest of the day, especially because you'll be eating a quick lunch. Now, as for lunch, a peanutbutter and jelly sandwhich is very healthy IF, and only if, you are using whole wheat bread, natural peanutbutter (Smuckers, not Jiff, for example), as well as natural, healthy jelly. Grab some fruit as well, and you're good to go
