Is genetically modified (GM) food/products extremely dangerous to human health

Is genetically modified (GM) food/products extremely dangerous to human health?
I've been somewhat obsessed to the relationship between human over-population and GM foods. I'm overly convinced that GM foods cause cancer, and the FDA is just a smoke screen pretending to be our "guardians". In regards to organic food: the soil has already been "tainted" by various chemicals, so are those specific foods actually organic? I think not.

The jury is out on frankenfoods and almost everything has that corn and soy in the processed. So try to eat whole foods, but even potatoes had been part of the first test. Fish genes were added to the genetic mix so the potatoes wouldn't freeze. But if you were allergic to fish, and ate such a potato you could get sick. We have to eat something, oatmeal and raisins are ok. It's scary but we have to eat so avoid the fast food and junk food and stay with whole food. Even the chickens that lay the eggs are eating things we would prefer they didn't but the eggs are ok. Overpopulation is not the criteria I look at, it's disease like cancer that grows for a long time before overwhelming the system. The jury is out deciding and the answer so far is potentially hazardous, not extremely. The FDa uses words like generally recognized as safe. Soil comes back after a few years of restoration
