i often cook my canned curry and soup in their can because it seems more convenient. is there any health risks in doing so?

Not that I know of. Campbell's soups are actually sealed in the can and then cooked to like, a billion degrees so the soup is cooked and sterilized inside the can. They showed it on one of those "How It's Made" kind of TV shows
