What food/drink do you spend the most money on

What food/drink do you spend the most money on?
What's the most expensive food or drink you buy on a regular basis? It has to be a reasonable size and just one quantity. I buy this caffine free alternative coffee stuff called "Pero". It cost like $8 and you get it at health food stores and publix.

how will i do a health teaching to a client having a problem of excessive food inatake? (assuming that i'm a health care provider) Other - General Health Care - 3 Answers Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions : 1 : you should know the answer assuming you are a health care provider. If not you should not be providing health care. Leave it to the professionals. or go get yourself trained. 2 : Offer an example of a reasonable diet, give a list of foods with the amount allowed to have and the combinations that are possible. Stress what overeating does to the body overall, especially the heart. A dietician would be best for this but even as a friend, encourage healthy habits for the life. 3 : Firstly you have to decide how much your client trust you. what is his or her age? weight? education standard and all the factor that effect people's way of thinking. you should tell his/her the fact of food nutrient , show the right diet example to your client. like the 'food pyramid'. using articles like books ,brochures, that talk about healthy diet. most important let him/her know the portion of each healthy meal

What is one food label you know that has a health claim on it? (Like Cheerios)

What is one food label you know that has a health claim on it? (Like Cheerios)?
Have a nutrition assignment and have to make a debate essay on whether or not the food actually lives up to our nutritional needs. I have Cheerios, but can't think of another one. And don't say any Acai juice unless the INGREDIENTS are 100% juice. Already had an inconclusive search on that...So yeah, if you know any, help me out.

I hate health food. Help

I hate health food. Help?
I hate health foods. I mean I try to eat health and try to eat the no-sugar, low carbs stuff but I can't. I like some veggies and fruits but I couldn't eat them all the time. Its a horrible habit bu tI eat all the time. And not even good stuff, its chocolate covered, or salted or honey glazed. I mean I'm not fat. I'm only in the 45% for my weight but I have a feeling I'm gonna regret eating all this junk. Do you have any recipes, foods, suggestions I could use to get myself off the sugary foods and into more health foods that aren't disgusting. Thanks!

We mostly all do at some time or another. I just had a big bowl of icecream with chocolate cake and whip cream and hersheys chocolate sauce. and I hate sweets and try to stay away from them !
2 :
Start with something that is a bit of a compromise, such as: Chocolate covered strawberries, Celery and peanut butter, Fried banana with cinnamon and agave (a natural sweetener) Start small: Get low sodium potato chips (they don't taste any different) Cook for yourself more!
3 :
I used to be the same way. This is going to sound like a cheesy testimonial, but I used www.fitday.com. I never realized everything I ate! I knew I ate too much, but this amount way ridiculous. This site give you a graph and a count of everything you eat. You enter your foods for the day and activities and weight. You put in your goal weight and it arks your progress along the way. The best part is its free. Then you can see what you are eating too much of and try putting in different foods every day until you get the graph split into thirds. Good luck.

If i eat something unhealthy-i try and make it healthy. Eg. instead of the great sugary muffins-i make my own so I know what's in them and i'll subsite things to make it healthy. E.g. if you have sugar in your coffee or on your cereal-try honey instead. Honey-is natural(most of the time), as well as keeping your sugars stabilised longer-so your less likely to feel the urge to snack. With the veggie prob-try blending it up, making it into something you like. e.g. quiche, shove a small amount in a smoothie so you don't notice it. I used to go for a coke every lunch, then I switched to juice, now they brought out the one with veggies so i have that now. Set yourself a goal-make yourself eat at least one veggie a day. Just try and go for healthy choices. If it's something really unhealthy-think of a punishment e,g. run around the block for an hr or eat broccilli instead to compensate. Eat nuts-their filling +good protein, try looking down the health food isle-they have lots of health bars etc-try and avoid the sports one-esp biggest loser-their yucky. LCM bars are a better aletnative-their light-give you something to munch on, yummy and they don't have such a high sugar content. The V8 juice has a strange aftertaste but is alright too-only if cold first though. Try and make your own foods-it makes you proud and you know what's in them. I'ts hard, but you get into a habit. If you are craving certain things-perhaps you are lacking in them
5 :
You have some pretty good answers up there. Welcome to the health culture. It takes work and retraining the taste buds but you get so you wont eat anything else. It's like no way do I want to put junk in this body of mine. The body doesnt live long on processed foods. Get off all artificial sweeteners and flouride and research the Eugenics population control program. Chemtrails, vaccines, swine flu and other "new" diseases

Check with your doctor, but everyone needs some fat in their diets. And you need the kind of sugar found in raw fruits and vegetables, probably.
2 :
well you should have a little sugar because your body might needs it , but just a little
3 :
you need certain types of fat, like polyunsatuated and monounsaturated fats which can be found in nuts. stay away from saturated and trans fats which clog arteries. you need the good fats to help absorb vitamins, for example, when you eat broccoli, all of the nutrients are absorbed through the good fats, so you must eat them. if you want to learn more about fats then go to http://www.mypyramid.gov : )
4 :
you need some fats in your diet! No sugar is good though! (son is diabetic too) No it won't have any adverse effects!! Take care! carla
5 :
you cant have zero fat and sugar you be as skiny as a twig so yes you do need some sugar and fat in your life
6 :
There are no fats in vegetables or fruits(cept avocados). Sugars - fructose...fruit sugar which is naturally in all fruit and in over ripe veges. This is the food that you have to eat as there is nothing else. Stay away from processed foods(anything in a package) or precooked - sugar is added as a -shelf life extender-along with salt. And no you will not get fat because you eat a hig volume of fruit/veges - they mostly consist of water....and fibre.
7 :
Uncooked food is taken by most of the strong animals and humans will be stronger if they switched over to it. So stop worrying. Eat only when hungry and not more than six times a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals. Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day. U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry

How important is it for our health to eat cooked, warm food?
Would a diet comprised almost exclusively of fresh, uncooked (thus not warm) foods be better for us? Please explain your answer. WHY is it important (or not)?

it is very important to eat cooked, warm food.
2 :
ofcourse not, u need a balanced diet that wats good for ur body, thats y god gave me fire! u need to hv cooked food proteins/carbs and u also need uncooked fresh vegetables and fruits!
3 :
well it depends. you should eat meat, so you'd probably want to cook that. but then for vegetables, its actually better not to cook them . they actually lose some of their nutrience when you cook them.
4 :
Some foods (especially meats) need to be cooked. Pigs have trichinosis and even fish have diseases that are destroyed with heat. You need proteins to survive and thrive
