2 :
chocolate pie burgerking cola fries
3 :
I'd like a large organic mixed green salad.
4 :
Frenchfries, Double Double from In and Out and an Extra Large Chocolate ship cookie shake!
5 :
mmm... a prawn salad lettus, tomato, scallions and prawns covered with a nice dressing of: mayo, salad cream, red sauce and vinegar mixed to a nice pink colour (kind of like 1000 island) yumm
6 :
dark chocolate and green tea
7 :
dice fruits in the frige is easy access and good to kill any temptations....
8 :
That was honestly good to you? If you want to eat healthy - first thing on the agenda is never eat there again. Maybe after you eat yourself into Type 2 diabetes, you'll learn to enjoy things that aren't killing you.
9 :
As long as you don't eat the same food every day >If a bit larger than you want to be have control>Myself I'm 6' 176lb eat everything that's get in the way>Have fun>
10 :
in my language (sundanese, one of indonesian's dialect), it called as bala-bala. it taste sooooooooooo great. and it's cheap and easy to make. u just need: vegetables (whatever) small chopped, salt, pfeffer (huh?? is it german or english?? sorry, i always mix them lately), small chopped garlic (preferable), and an egg. mix them well with a little bit water and then deep fry them for every two spoons mixing. serve with chili sauce...mmhhhhh it taste good and healthy!
11 :
Mine is a good helping of Sugar free double chocolate Instant pudding!! That always helped me loose weight,,,tasted great and was good for me ,,,(that was my favorite way to get my dairy products ) Make some and have it ready for next craving IT WORKS !!!!
12 :
vegies, steak, mash potato cooked in chicken noodle soup with graie.yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum
13 :
Broccoli, cooked. Or raw in a salad with a little spinach (You'll be strong at the finish!), balsamic vinegar and shredded carrots. And a little olive oil mixed with the vinegar. Bon appetit!
14 :
For me a nice green chef salad made out of dark greens is an awesome meal with a cup of mixed fresh fruit with a dolop of whip cream as dessert. Yes, in the beginning you will miss the taste of the unhealthy food but then you get used to it. You can also make a burger yourself that is WAY more healthier than fast food. Try to buy the 90% lean if you are able to afford it.
15 :
i think smoothies are very healthful because when you have a smoothy its all like fruits and juice. its like hella good for you
16 :
Put one peeled, chopped banana and a sweet apple into the blender, add enough milk to just about cover the fruits (about 1 cup). If you don't like milk, you can use soymilk or juice. Also, you can dilute the milk to save some calories. Mix it all up into liquid and enjoy. If you want more consistency, you can add a few tablespoons of soft tofu. Also, you can have a bowl of pasta with tomato sauce for under 250 calories. Boil some whole-grain pasta, and while it's warm, pour over it tomato sauce (Prego multi vegetable works well). If you want, you can add some grilled chicken breast in there as well. This makes a low-calorie, filling meal. There are ways to enjoy your food and still eat healthy.
17 :
Organic pumpkin seeds, green tea, and blackberries.
18 :
My favorite junk food is plain Lays. And when I break down and do fast food I go to Mickey D's and have a classic Big Mac combo. But when I stick to my healthy plan of eating I go for a salad with just lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers.
19 :
I think having a double cheeseburger every week or so is fine(health wise) as long as you eat healthy most of the time. Dannon Light n Fit 60 calorie vanilla yogurt is delicious and curbs my appetite. Low-Sodium V-8 juice satisfies my cravings and is nutritious
20 :
All sea food is my favorite healthy food. There is a great variety (unlike meat) and there are many ways to prepare it.
21 :
It's because you have been doing it not long enough. Do not give up and some time afterwards try it again- you'll spit it out, so nasty the junk food will taste. I like all the fruits, horseradishes, tomatoes and all the vegetables. Bad food - love cheese.
22 :
My food has to be tasty doesn't matter whether it is healthy or organically prepared by the Monks of the Himalayas.
23 :
oh god a big mac would hit the mark for me right now,but if i had to go healthy it would be carrot batons and houmous. mmm mmm mmm mmm slurrrrp!
24 :
Any type of berry, pineapples, apples, sweet potatoes, grilled fish, turkey burgers, whole wheat breads, green teas, herbal teas
25 :
I try to stay away from too much sugar & refined foods e.g. white bread. Eat naturally sweet fruit & fruit juices with no added sugar. Eat a lot of fruit & veggies every day.
26 :
Afraid I can't help you there. I am addicted to salad. Love them. But I often have my salad on my Big Mac. LOL

Personally, I think maybe 5% due to my exteme low fat diet. But I am here to live, enjoy red meat, all meat, fruit, veggies, pasta, potatoes, etc. Eat minimal junk food or fried food. Think a well rounded healthy diet is key.
2 :
depends--is it food I make, or food I buy? Since I make almost everything from scratch I know exactly what goes into it. But as for restaurant food it probably damages you greatly--hence why I cook at home!
3 :
I DON'T KNOW....I LOVE FOOD BUT IM TRYING TO LOSE WEIGHT! (NOOO IM NOT OVERWEIGHT AND NEVER HAVE BEEN JUST WATCHIN MY SHAPE AND CURVESSSSSS

Do you have to consume olive oil with food to get health benefits

Do you have to consume olive oil with food to get health benefits?

Diet & Fitness - 6 Answers

Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
1 :
No. Humans and all other species for that matter did just fine before olive oil was commercially available.
2 :
I believe so. Even Weight Watchers requires 2 teaspoons of olive oil daily. (You can also mix your olive oil with balsamic vinegar and have it with bread, Italian style.)
3 :
Technically No, However there are alot of benefits to the consumption of Olive oil. It contains alot of nutrients and good fats that lower cholesterol. I would say you do not have to but you would be better off if you did.
4 :
Many vitamins and minerals are fat soluble. So if you are having a salad you can put olive oil and balsamic on it to increase your absorbtion of these vitamins and minerals. The olive oil will benefit the other food you eat. So olive oil will give you benefits either way, but you will get other benefits from combining it with food.
5 :
There are alot of misconceptions about oil. Here is a great article that will help you out... http://www.truthaboutabs.com/unhealthy-vs-healthy-cooking-oils.html Enjoy! AviB
6 :
It's better for your heart than butter or margarine. Check out http://www.olivenation.com they have some very good extra virgin olive oil and some good info

What to give a child who has to have gluten free food

What to give a child who has to have gluten free food?
My 12 year old is to have a Christmas party soon.Is it wrong to ask the child to bring some things that she can eat.? All the guests need to bring a plate of food. I am a responsible parent and do not want the child to get sick. Or is there food that people can recommend. Health food shop was not helpful.

Thats very thoughtful for you to consider that! Ask his mother.........seems like she would definately plan for that. You might type gluten free foods in a web search if you had time. If not ask the child's mom. It definately can cause the child to get sick . People that can eat what ever they want should count their blessings!
2 :
I'm sure you know gluten free means no wheat products meaning flour. So nothing with bread. Rice, potatoes, grilled meats, vegetables, cheeses, fruits. you can also buy gluten free pastas they are made with rice flour.
3 :
Check out the following website... http://www.csaceliacs.org/recipes.php
4 :
We are a gluten-free home... I would talk to the parent. I'm sure they're used to sending something with they're child. Don't worry, it wouldn't be rude to express your concern to them.
5 :
I agree with the answers above mine. Consult with the child's parents as what you can provide in addition to what they will bring. There is much that's gluten-free and you can find a list of foods that are gluten-free and foods to avoid at the webite for the Celiac Disease Foundation or by running a search for "gluten-free foods". You are very thoughtful.
6 :
I'm gluten-free, as are both my kids. I ALWAYS bring my kids food. It's takes a while to learn how to eat gluten free and there's a lot more to it than you'd think. You can't take a bun off a burger and eat the burger for example. What I like to do is prepare something similar to whatever the rest of the kids are having, and if it's a birthday party, make a GF cupcake (I always have some in the freezer just needing frosting) for my child that's either my child's choice of flavor/color, or the same as the main cake. Some parents just have their child eat beforehand. I would call the parent and let her know that you understand that her child is GF and wanted to touch base and take it from there. I'm sure she'll be happy to explain or answer any questions. Just in case the child is newly diagnosed and the parents don't know exactly what to do either, you can get some good ideas at www.glutenfreeforum.com on products, etc. Also, Whole Foods has a lot of gluten-free bakery items. I'm not sure if it's just at my local one (Sacramento, CA) or not, but they have a little chocolate cake about twice the size of a cupcake by Crave Bakery (I believe) that is gluten free. They also have GF cookies and apple pie. If you end up being responsible for some of the food, make sure you don't touch the gluten-free food because if you've touched something with gluten in it and then touch the child's food, it becomes what's called "contaminated" with gluten. And you'd be surprised how many things have gluten in them. Basically just the residue from a breadcrumb is enough to make a gluten-intolerant person sick. Sounds bizarre, but it's true. Which is why I'm 99% sure the child will either eat at home or bring their own food. :) I also want to thank you SOOO much for including this child in the party. So many times people get so worried about not making someone with celiac disease sick that they don't extend the invitation. It can be a socially isolating disease at times because so many celebrations are tied in with food, but we make our own path and things work out fine. At 12 years old, unless the child is newly diagnosed, I'm sure this type of thing is old hat by now. Thanks again for asking about this! Nancy

Is there any health concerns with using 304 stainless steel for food/beverage

Is there any health concerns with using 304 stainless steel for food/beverage?
What are the studies saying? Is there leaching of metals like chromium or nickel? Can I store beverage in bottles that are 304 SS for long periods in hot temperature?

There are a couple of ads (TV, mag.) that I have seen lately for reusable SS bottles for water (so as not to use plastic), and if I'm not mistaken they are made of 304 SS. Most commercial cookware and storing vessels are made from 304 SS so I wouldn't think you would have a problem with leeching of heavy metals. Hope this helps

some health issues with food

some health issues with food?
hey basically my situation is everytime i eat food i get very sleepy, can someone tell me is that healthy or dangerous ? what causes me to become so sleepy after eating?

When we eat the body produces a rise in blood sugar and a surge in insulin production. This chemical activity sends tryptophan to the brain where it becomes serotonin that signals the body “Take a nap! Here come the nods, the yawns and the blinking eyes. WLS patients are highly susceptible to post meal sleepiness because of the shortened route to the small intestine. From there the tryptophan has a fast ride to the brain shouting almost like Paul Revere “The Sleepies are coming! The Sleepies are coming! A wise nutritional strategy for maintaining a sharp mental edge after lunch is to eat foods that give a gradual, steady release of food energy throughout the afternoon while placing only a light burden on the digestive system. Consider these strategies: 1. Emphasize healthy protein choices, like cold-water fish, beans and legumes, or a non-cream-based main dish soup or stew. Consume 60% of your volume from this group. 2. Choose a minimal serving of low-glycemic-index carbohydrates, like green salad, root vegetables in their skins, mushrooms, green leafy vegetables, broccoli, asparagus, or artichoke. Consume only 20% of your food volume from this group. 3. Be sure your food choices contain healthy fats, such as cold-water fish, flaxseed oil, olive oil vinaigrette (the vinegar helps slow the release of food energy), nuts, seeds, or avocado 4. Absolutely avoid sugary, starchy, or fatty foods like soft drinks, non-whole-grain pasta, fried foods, and rich or creamy sauces and dressings 5. Skip dessert

When are people going to realize that massed produced dog and cat food are not good for their pets

When are people going to realize that massed produced dog and cat food are not good for their pets?
The pet food recall just shows that dog and cat foods sold in local grocery stores and big chain pet stores are not the best way to feed your pets. Most of these canned and dry foods lack all the nutrients that an animal needs. If your dog or cat loves and craves a certain food it's not because it's good for them, it's because they aren't getting the vitamins and nutrients their bodies need to keep healthy and live long. Anyone who owns a pet should try to feed it the absolute best food they can afford which means food from a health food store or raw food. There are many brands out there that most people have never heard of which are not that much more expensive and so much better for their pets. Check with a smaller pet store and see what brands they carry. I personally feed my cats Inova, Evolve and Merritts brands of cat food. They love it and it's good for them. It's full of healthy ingredients, not chemicals. If this pet food recall has scared you, do something about it.

Yes That's right Good question ... I feed my dog my food and stuff like that ..
2 :
Did you realize this yourself before, or after the recall? Are you calling me ignorant becaue I buy 9 Lives tuna for my cats, which isn't included in the recall, because I didn't realize on my own sooner that something being sold off the shelf in my local grocery store could be hazardous to my pets' health? Would it be possible for you to rephrase your question a little more politely by simply pointing out there are other alternatives, instead of just labeling everyone who doesn't know what you do as ignorant? Also--not everyone realizes that dry food isn't included. Not to mention, it's only "cuts and gravy" types. Thanks for the info anyway.
3 :
You are so right. AAFCO approved many products that the FDA has deemed harful and fatal for human consumption, and they put it in your pets food cuz its cheap, abundant and because they are greedy.... they don't care about your pet. This recall is one of many in the past, the problem has always been there, just not enough of it is getting broadcasted. Check out this website...... it changed the way I feed my pets.... http://www.api4animals.org/facts.php?p=359&more=1
4 :
first of all i love my pets i have lots of them and they probably all eat better than most people. but they do eat purina. i have had dogs and cats for years, my whole life. But going to a pet health food store come on. than for most of the population is totally unrealistic. i can't even afford to buy my food in a health store. You are not harming your pets by buying them canned good at petco. yes the recall was horrible, it was very sad and it spoked me alittle too. but the tylenol recall scared me too. some things are just accident. you can't really blame anyone.
5 :
I had been feeding my kitten "Nutro Natural Choice" because it's not made with byproducts but this was on the recall list!!! Thankfully, the dates were not the same but I think I will find a new food I can give to my little furry friend. I had no idea so many pet foods were made by the same company under different names!
6 :
have you also tried flintriverranch.com as an all-natural pet food alternative??? can only be found online or by phone...check it out!
7 :
Yes, pet food from grocery stores is nasty! It has so many "fillers" that are just fat and all the stuff that you shouldn't feed your pets. It makes them obese. Not to mention, the reason why my family quit buying from safeway: when water is mixed with dry types of dog food, guess what floated to the top? Dog hair
