Employees and customers sneezing and coughing in the restaurant and on food. Chemicals used for pesticides in the kitchens and bathroom areas, dirty hands, not washing yourself regularly, not wearing hair nets and or gloves when handling food and any pre-existing condition like an employee with an std or dandruff, scabies, lice. The coughing/sneezing is a big problem for everyone involved in a restaurant environment whether a customer or employee

Is using aluminum foil on food harmful to our health

Is using aluminum foil on food harmful to our health?
How long can you keep food wrapped in foil at 1) Room Temperature 2) Freezer 3) Refridgerator Is it harmful to keep foods wrapped up for a long time in aluminum foil? For example: Baked potato, meat?
Other - Science - 6 Answers

1 :
no it's not harmful or they FDE wouldn't allow places to use it.
2 :
It depends on what food it is. It is actually really bad to drink pop out of the can because as soon as you open it up aluminum spreads into the pop. So yur basically drinking aluminum!!!
3 :
dyballerna is incorrect but you can always google info about aluminum..it depends on how long and what type of food....
4 :
The question of how safe it is depends on the type of food. The key is wether or not the foil reacts chemically with the food. An example would be any food with tomatoes. As tomatoes have a high acid content it will tend to dissolve the foil and the resultant material is left on your food. Regardless of what the FDA says large amounts of Aluminum in you diet, aren't good for you. I assume your question on how long food can be wrapped in foil refers to how long will it stay edible. Actually that has very little to do with the foil and a lot to do with the food in question. The idea of wrapping food is to protect it from contamination. Bacteria, molds, and fungi are all in the air. The longer something sits out the more contaminated it becomes. However, most food is already well seeded with the agents that cause spoilage. So, other than drying out faster, an unwrapped sandwich isn't gonna go bad much faster at room temperature than a wrapped one. Now in a freezer, the idea is to provide a vapor barrier. Because the modern freezers have defrost cycles, items with a poor vapor barrier (Foil for one) will get freezer burned. That means the item will loose water and get dry. In a fridge, bacterial decay is slowed, but not stopped and all the considerations from above apply. Vapor barrier is helpful in MOST cases. Sorry, foil just isn't air tight.
5 :
To my understanding do not use on acids as they will absorber some of the aluminum into the food.
6 :
There is no harm in using aluminum foil. It is not recommended that your boil tomato sauce in an aluminum pot for a long period as the acid will dissolve some aluminum

cheeslike health food

what is cheese-like health food?

tofu or banana.
3 :
- more than likely, you are referring to Tofu ;) i don't like that stuff, personally, but good luck! emily.
4 :
Low fat cottage cheese!! Also, I had this awesome chocolate low-fat pudding recipie with ricotta cheese in it, and it tasted awesome.
5 :
There are many types of 'cheese' on the market now that are made from soy. Google 'soy cheese' and see how many brands you can come up with. Some are better than others, but all should be dairy product free. Some taste great. Others are horrible. It's just a matter of buying in small quantities initially and trying them out til you find one you like.
6 :
You can find a bunch of products in health food and grocery stores that resemble cheese, yet contain no diary. Most are made from soy or rice, and can be found in chains like Whole Foods and Wild Oats, or any small health store. Most are vegan, unless they contain casein. You can actually make your own cheeselike foods, I used to use The Uncheese Cookbook which has a lot of tastey recipes. Most recipes will require nutritional yeast, which is not real yeast but contains lots of B vitamens and is healthy, and tastes a lot like real cheese

I went down to my local health food store and they had all of these homeopathic medicine sprays. Do they work?
When I asked the owner he got snippy telling me everyone's body is different, blah blah blah. The one I was interested in was one that helped with weight loss. I simply asked him if others found success with this product. He didn't give me a straight answer. He only said he sells a lot of them and most people have success.

There is no proof that homeopathic remedies help with weight loss. The only healthy way to lose weight (and people seem to have a real hard time accepting this) is to eat less and exercise more.
2 :
Homeopathy is a crock. It's just water. If it works at all, it's the placebo effect

How would you introduce a speech concerning how customers blame fast food restaurants for health problems

How would you introduce a speech concerning how customers blame fast food restaurants for health problems?
I need an introduction that captures the auddience's attention.

I would use a startling fact. Something scary but true. That is if your not defending the fast food industry.Good luck!
2 :
Geeze I wonder what would happen if they stayed out of the fast food places. Not their fault that you waddeled in I do a turkey and veggies on a wheat rollup
3 :
I'd say something like: "So they ate at McDonald's and got FAT!"
4 :
What do a finger in chili, e.coli, and rat poop have in common?
5 :
Think about this, if they blame fast food restaurants for health problems, then don't eat there! Its as simple as that. From then on, it's the customers decision and their responsibility. Start with some shockingly true facts.
6 :
i would say that those customers blaming fast food for them being fat... are a bunch of morons. fast food doesnt make them fat, everyone knows fast food is bad for you. 1. they are fat and have health problems because they dont exercise and are lazy 2. they eat fast food because they dont want to make anything for themselves thats decent to eat. 3. theyre looking for someone to blame because theyre fat. theyre fat because they eat SH*T. not because fast food people hand them a big bowl of fat and shove it down their throats.
7 :
"Lack of exersize, fulfillment of life, hapiness, proper diet and sleep all contribute to a persons poor health - fast food only adds to it. Yet everyday we hear these people moan and groan about how fast food is ruining the health of our young, our family and our friends. I have never in my life heard an unhealthy person blame themselves for not jogging, not getting enough sleep and not eating breakfast. The fact is, these simple things they tend to neglect all effect their health substantially more than fast food ever could, even if eaten on a daily basis." Thats just a quick introduction. Hopefully you can find some inspiration from it - but if you want to use the entire thing, feel free to do so. You could also start it off with things like "85% of americans are sleep deprived. 55% of americans neglect breakfast. Only 7% of americans exersize on a regular basis - and yet, they see the source of all their problems in fast food? Who tought these people logic?" (these are not true facts, you will have to search for your own

12 :
OBESITY, which can lead to heart disease and eating bad food can be bad for your liver. Being overweight can also take a toll on your limbs making you weak. Some things are linked
13 :
junk food -> fat kids -> juvenile diabetes! ->major complications involving many organs including the heart, eyes, kidneys, and nerves
14 :
Liver disease, diabetes, kidney problems, coronary disease (early onset of all of these) - a good deal of obese kids develope fatty liver which can lead to siroccis or liver cancer in their 20's or 30's

I would say that eating junk food when your younger can cause problems in later life. Firstly eating junk will slow down your metabolism so then you start to gain weight, even more so for people that don't exercise. Also eating junk food can cause stomach ulcers, then later you will start to develop stomach disorders like GERD, Bad acid reflux. These diseases can lead to throat cancer. What happens is the acid reflux starts to shoot up your esophagus and starts to cause scarring after time. If you get an infection in your esophagus this is where cancers can form. When you say junk food, most people assume your referring to McDonalds. But it goes much much deeper than this. If you research nutrition and food you will see that 99% of food in the supermarket is classed as junk food. Anything in a tin, is loaded with chemical additives and preservatives. Anything frozen, same thing. Most food products these days even breads etc contain, Corn Syrup, high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oils, trans fats etc, all this is considered junk and is really really bad for you. The next time you go to the supermarket, take a walk down any aisle and check some ingredients, i guarantee you will find Corn Syrup, high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oils, trans fats in nearly every single product you find. Sad but very true. This is why America has an obesity epidemic. The only way to make sure youo eat well is getting fruits and vegetables and foods with no additives or preservatives. If there are preservatives at least make sure they are natural preservatives. Consider Organic food that is USDA approved. Although not 100%, still better than 99% of the other food out there. I would say this type of eating has been going on for well over 50 years, which is probably why we are seeing diseases now that we never saw when we where kids. ADD, ADHD etc etc. Good Luck, do your research you will see i am right.
22 :
the high levels of sodium will cause you to develop High blood pressure which leads to tears in the vascular system and those tears accumulate plaque, which then clogs arteries leading to stroke, heart attacks, fatigue and premature aging, There are also trans fats that cause obesity, which can lead to low self esteem and diabetes, which leads to amputation and death

Heat all of the veggies you like in a wok and add some cheese...tastey
2 :
mmm apples are good.

I'm in the same boat, even though I'm a couple years older. For a treat: Cut fresh fruits and put them in the freezer for about an hour, it's soo good and it seems like a treat, even though it's fruit. Also, experiment with different salads, I've tried mixing raisins in salads of pinapple, straberries and greens. Yummm!!! Sounds weird, but try some crazy salads, that way you get all your vitamins and a variety. Try to cut out excess starches and eat all the veggies you want and stay active. Buy lean cuts of meat and make sandwiches. Sandwiches( if made healthy) can be very healthy for you and be very filling. Good luck!!! Keep adding a variety to your diet
