hmmm.. lets see, 1 out of 2 men will get Cancer in their lifetimes 1 out of 3 women, We pay the most for our health care, yet 45k die a year from not having Health Insurance, We have some of the shortest life spans and lowest infant mortality birth rates of any industrialized country...and 71% of personal Bankruptcies are from Medical costs,... seems The corporate Food and Medicine industries are doing a fair job of "Dictating" who's going to live and die already...? No?

the republicans aren't in charge any more, so to get a job working with the administration you have to be qualified to do that job, you can't be a former horse auctioneer and expect to run fema

What are the disadvantages (health-wise) of eating your food quickly

What are the disadvantages (health-wise) of eating your food quickly?

Eating more than you normally would - weight gain. Not chewing enough - makes it hard to digest, won't get all the nutrients out.
2 :
I don't know if there are any HEALTH WISE (except INDIGESTION) per-say -- but I do know that if I eat salty foods way to fast, I experience heartburn for hours! I hope my answer helps you... Indigestion is a condition that is frequently caused by eating too fast, especially by eating high-fat foods quickly. Symptoms of indigestion are as follows: A pain or a burning feeling in the upper portion of the stomach Feeling sick to one's stomach; nausea Feeling bloated Sometimes uncontrollable burping Heartburn A bitter taste in the mouth from stomach acid coming up into the esophagus. Antacids neutralise excess stomach acid, and can provide temporary relief of indigestion.
3 :
You eat more, because it takes a little time for the message that your actually full, to travel to your brain.
4 :
Gas, over eating, indigestion and dis-satisfaction with your meal. You can trap a lot of gas in your stomach if you eat too fast. Your stomach won't feel full, until you over-eat (it takes time for the stomach to register that it is full), and you won't enjoy the meal which could make you want to eat again soon.
5 :
well firstly you dont chew your food properly and that leads to incomplete digestion of the food in the mouth(the break-up of food begins during chewing both mechanical and chemical) which leads to large pieces of food getting into your esophagus (the tube going from the mouth into the stomach) that might cause discomfort. Also when you eat a lot in a hurry your stomach secretes acid at the same pace which might lead to over secretion and gastric pain.So its best to chew your food properly

I have health food cravings. Is that bad

I have health food cravings. Is that bad?
I have intense food cravings, but not for junk food. I usually binge eat alot if fruit, crackers, and kashi cereal. I run cross country and I never touch junk food. Are these binges unhealthy and will they make me fat like a junk food binge?

well as long as your not starving yourself, eating a lot of fruits and healthy foods is good for you. i don't think it will make you want to eat junk food.
2 :
Eating healthy food about five times a day is good. It will probably not make you fat, especially if you're running regularly. The proper thing is to eat mixed food (look at the food pyramid). Make your breakfast the largest meal of the day. As long as you're satisfying your hunger, it's OK. Your body knows exactly when it needs nutrients. The problem begins when you eat out of boredom or to combat sadness or to simply feel good (without actually feeling hungry). If your cravings really become too much for you, you can try acupressure to beat them. It's a completely natural way of doing it and it works.

Do you think the name "Ripe" is too similar to "Cherry Ripe"? (i have to design and create a health food)

Do you think the name "Ripe" is too similar to "Cherry Ripe"? (i have to design and create a health food)?
As part of my main business assignment at school i have to create a health food product. I've decided i'd like to call it "Ripe", so far i think it will contain black cherries, walnuts, dark callebaut chocolate and perhaps oats. I'd like to know what peoples impressions of the product are from what has been described as its ingredients. I'd also (obviously) like to know if anyone thinks my product concept is too close to that of "Cherry Ripe". (By the way, the business itself is called "Eden", while the product is called "Ripe").

Personal opinion: I don't like the word. It doesn't really have that much connotation with food or Eden. I'd called it "Heaven" or "Haven

Chop up some Brocolli, potatoes, onions, carrots, zuchinni, tomatoes and snap peas, into bite size pieces. Fry down in olive oil until tender. Serve with noodles on the side. If you like, you can add some baked or steamed fish pieces to this for a more substancial mea

How will we afford to provide health insurance for everyone in this country, plus food stamps

How will we afford to provide health insurance for everyone in this country, plus food stamps,?
plus assisted housing, plus all the other social programs we already have in place? Are the wealthy and corporations going to be taxed until they are broke? Is this what the left wants? Ed J: why not try to inform me instead of just making a statement assuming I don't know anything about the healthcare issue.

We'll end up like France.
2 :
Its all in the plan. Abort the children, euthanize the elderly and those who can not be productive, then you only have a very very small group of people to care for. but that's in the plan as well, Al Queda will take care of the 'middle' class.
3 :
We willl become socialists- 50-65% taxes and no incentive to do anything since the govt will pay you not to.
4 :
You are really very uninformed about the health care issue. I think it would be a good idea if you do a bit of research first.
5 :
I highly DOUBT we will ever be granted health insurance. We already pay WAY to much money so we can let all the illegals live here for practically nothing and receiving medical for FREE and food for FREE all on our taxpaying americans expense!! Imagine how much our taxes will go up if we ALL get health insurance!! Ridiculous!
6 :
Taxed until they're broke? How about taxing them at the same rates we did in the 50s. If we did just this, we would garner over a trillion dollars. That would pay for better social services. The US lacks adequate social services. What you need to ask yourself is, If every other First World country has some form of socialized or government-run health care, why can't the richest country in the world? It's absolutely mind-numbing that people can't realize this. The reason why we can't is because this is a business-run society. How is it that we can afford over 500 billion on "defense," and at the same time pay separate bills for TWO wars. Why do we have 10-12 thousand atomic bombs--it's called Military Keynesianism, where the public is robbed year after year to enrich the rich. I say, enough corporate welfare, take the profit out of war, then we can talk about social services.
7 :
Hey pile on those taxes, after all the guy who makes 1 million plus a year doesn't really deserve to keep all that money. I bet he doesn't even employ but between 100 and 10,000 people. Chances are he won't let some of them go to make up for his losses, nor will he raise the price of his goods and services, he'll just take it on the chin and cut back on the lifestyle to which he has grown accustomed. But hey that's Fair right? Give me a break. The rich pay more in taxes than most of us make in a year before taxes already. We need to cut back on spending not tax more.
8 :
We already pay for it. Who do you think pays the health bills for all the illegals lined up in the ER room at the local hospital? Ha, the people who do have insurance.
9 :
taxing the rich just a few percentage more would bring in billions of dollars, and how about sorting out the social programmes so they are fairer, and do not give out so much money to people who do not deserve it. the rich-poor gap is huge in the west and something needs to be done about it. Thousands of people need medical treatment, and it's unfair and almost inhuman to deny it to them because they just don't have the money - after all, if their education had been better htey would have better jobs and be able to afford health care. there is always a cause.
10 :
Taxes, taxes and more taxes

should i buy health insurance instead of providing food clothing heat and shelter for my family

should i buy health insurance instead of providing food clothing heat and shelter for my family,?
or should I opt for the fine I wont be able to pay either. Go to jail , loose my job, passing burden of myself and my family onto you the tax paying citizen? Should we force all homeless people into buying mansions.

You won't get the choice really. If you can't pay for it, the government will come in and conduct an assessment, maybe decide you don't need your tv, your pc, anything that takes away from their mandated confiscation of your money to support a Ponzi scheme.
2 :
Sounds like you're playing Monopoly
3 :
If you can't afford it then you will get a write off or a subsidy, if you can afford it then you will pay for it no matter how melodramatic you want to be. Health care is not free and if you go to the ER with some kind of problem that means somebody else is paying for your failure to have insurance.
4 :
What would happen right now if you got sick? Us tax paying citizens are already paying for you and your family. Nothing in life is free. You will be a burden either way

Is pizza Health food or Junk food

Is pizza Health food or Junk food?
Pizza has cheese which only taken in large amounts would lead to obesity but the topping you add such as non veg or veg is healthy for the body and the base is just bread and it is microwaved. so what do you say?

1 :
If you make the dough by yourself and just stick to the vegetables for the topping, then it's OK. Otherwise, putting cheese (fat) on top, sauces from a bottle or a can (salt, fat)... Not good :(
2 :
it can be health..but will be junk if u over eat it..lol..carbohydrates can lead to obesity..microwave can lead to cancer..lol..
3 :
Pizza is healthy. Even though large amounts of cheese is in the pizza the nutritional value of the remaining ingredients cover the negative effects of the too-much cheese.
4 :
well the take away ones are usually considered junk food. but i mena, if you go to italy or a restauraunt, when you order a pizza you dont think - junk food. you think yum. its jst the same as a plate of pasta with cheese or soemthing. but if you go to a take away place or mconalads or seomting you know your eating junk food. but either way its still fatt and horrible. like even hte nes you buy forzen and stick in the oven/micro.... theyre still junk food. but i think if you make like pitta pizzas or mini pizzas, then you cna control how much cheese or topppings you stick on, so you dont over do it and you dont have ot cover it in oil or fat. so then its not exactly considered junk food anymore. or thats how i see it anyway... might nto be the same for everyone. but its hte same with like wedges... if i buy ouy, its junk food but if i make it at home i see it as nice healthy food jsut like mashed potatoes but cooked ina different wya. but also i dont cover htem in oil and salt, i make htem the way i want.. healthhy/
5 :
Traditional pizza is made of flour, yeast, salt, water, extra virgin olive oil, fresh tomato sauce (definitely not ketchup) and fresh Mozzarella cheese which is baked in wood-fired brick oven (crust is very thin) so how unhealthy can it be. Those pizza you find in fast food chain, supermarket or some so called pizza restaurants which cook them in microwave oven where all other additional ingredients added (eg sausage), not fresh ingredients (mostly not even using real Mozzarella cheese) and with lots of preservatives can't be compared with.
6 :
Depends on the pizza. I make homemade pizza that consists of whole wheat crust, natural pasta sauce and low fat shredded cheese. I also add peppers and onions. This is what I would call a pretty healthy meal.
7 :
Healthy when it is just 2 slices veggie toppings, thin crust, less cheese. Junk when it is 4 or more slices meaty toppings, double cheese, thick crust or deep dish
