I need ideas for a diet that is healthy, fun, creative, and doesnt taste like I'm eating grass and dirt, and my family will like... that wont take a lot of cooking. I need ideas for hubbies lunch too.. No recipes please! (unless they're links) I get so confused honestly I skip over them... :-S

I made this for dinner the other night. It went over well. Veggie Wrap-not a recipe lust a list of stuff that went in. seasoned black beans avacado with lime juice and salt home made ranch salsa diced tomatoes sliced olives almond cheese-peppers jack red onions lettuce

healthy lasagna . just use lean meat and lean cheese and skim milk. you can freeze it and heat it up for other days. or you can make spaghetti with lean meat and diced tomatoes and pepper.(tomato paste to thicken) good luck try making omlettes for lunches they are healthy and taste really good with a bit of pepper and cheese. :D

use your grill and grill veggies. Eggplant, squash, zucchini, tomatoes, mushrooms, asparagus...they're all great on the grill. Rub with olive oil, season to taste and grill. You can use leftovers for lunch the next day as a a wrap filling. Or you can go to allrecipes.com and use their low fat cookbook and search for the ingredients you want in there.

Eating healthy is not hard. Start by incorporating fruits and vegetables into your diet. examples... carrots - eat raw with low-fat ranch dip, peel and put into dressing. many grocery stores have carrot and ranch pack that are good for lunches. apples - pack with cheese(cheddar...etc), peanut butter(without hydrogenated oils). mushrooms - these are very taste and currently in season. You can serve them as cooked side dishes or incorporate into sauces or even burger patties. Buckwheat/egg/mushroom burger patties are good for breakfast lunch and dinner. avocados - these take moments to prepare and can be put in sandwiches or dashes with salt and pepper eaten out of its skin. I suggest browser the internet for recipes. I have gotten my family to eat healthy by simply getting not buying cookies, sugar treats, candy. I also look at products ingredients, the more, the worst. Try completely avoiding hydrogenated oils. The best way to eat healthy is to plan. Plan a dinner night, were you make dinner from scratch. Also, make meals ahead of time. Cooking, then Freezing meals is perfectly fine. Make a night devoted to 1-2 hours of cooking ahead. Find and bread machine. These take 5 minutes to put ingredients together and hours later you have wonderful, healthy homemade bread.

South Beach books, and go to phase 2 of the diet. They also have recipes in them. I live on phase 2 of this food plan and have for past 12 years. It is great!! With increasing amounts of insulin, I am not gaining any weight!! So you ought to be able to lose some if you do some walking after dinner every day
