Is pizza Health food or Junk food

Is pizza Health food or Junk food?
Pizza has cheese which only taken in large amounts would lead to obesity but the topping you add such as non veg or veg is healthy for the body and the base is just bread and it is microwaved. so what do you say?

If you make the dough by yourself and just stick to the vegetables for the topping, then it's OK. Otherwise, putting cheese (fat) on top, sauces from a bottle or a can (salt, fat)... Not good :(

it can be health..but will be junk if u over eat it..lol..carbohydrates can lead to obesity..microwave can lead to cancer..lol..

Pizza is healthy. Even though large amounts of cheese is in the pizza the nutritional value of the remaining ingredients cover the negative effects of the too-much cheese.

well the take away ones are usually considered junk food. but i mena, if you go to italy or a restauraunt, when you order a pizza you dont think - junk food. you think yum. its jst the same as a plate of pasta with cheese or soemthing. but if you go to a take away place or mconalads or seomting you know your eating junk food. but either way its still fatt and horrible. like even hte nes you buy forzen and stick in the oven/micro.... theyre still junk food. but i think if you make like pitta pizzas or mini pizzas, then you cna control how much cheese or topppings you stick on, so you dont over do it and you dont have ot cover it in oil or fat. so then its not exactly considered junk food anymore. or thats how i see it anyway... might nto be the same for everyone. but its hte same with like wedges... if i buy ouy, its junk food but if i make it at home i see it as nice healthy food jsut like mashed potatoes but cooked ina different wya. but also i dont cover htem in oil and salt, i make htem the way i want.. healthhy/

Traditional pizza is made of flour, yeast, salt, water, extra virgin olive oil, fresh tomato sauce (definitely not ketchup) and fresh Mozzarella cheese which is baked in wood-fired brick oven (crust is very thin) so how unhealthy can it be. Those pizza you find in fast food chain, supermarket or some so called pizza restaurants which cook them in microwave oven where all other additional ingredients added (eg sausage), not fresh ingredients (mostly not even using real Mozzarella cheese) and with lots of preservatives can't be compared with.

Depends on the pizza. I make homemade pizza that consists of whole wheat crust, natural pasta sauce and low fat shredded cheese. I also add peppers and onions. This is what I would call a pretty healthy meal.

Healthy when it is just 2 slices veggie toppings, thin crust, less cheese. Junk when it is 4 or more slices meaty toppings, double cheese, thick crust or deep dish
