It's not one food item but a balanced diet. Too much of any one group of foods is not adequate for our nutritional requirements. So you have to source your good quality protein , carbs (as few from sugars as you can handle) fibre - very important , and eat plenty fruit and veg for antioxidant action and vitamins and minerals. You can do this as a vegetarian,it just takes some looking around and not falling for any marketing gimmicks.
